New Belgium, nestled in North Carolina, is renowned for its exceptional IPAs, crafted with palpable passion and care that transforms each sip into a flavorful journey. Their online presence, particularly the vibrant artistry and pop-culture-inspired campaigns of Voodoo Ranger, further amplifies their creativity and craftsmanship.

Inspired by this blend of artistry and innovation, I embarked on a conceptual project to create a limited-edition Prickly Pear IPA. This brew, infused with refreshing notes of prickly pear tuna and a mischievous twist of habanero pepper, captures the fiery spirit of Leo and adds an exciting dimension to the flavor palette.

Drawing from my Mexican-American heritage, this conceptual IPA celebrates cultural fusion. The design integrates traditional Mexican elements—such as farmer tools, a vibrant sarape, a leather messenger bag, and an authentic sombrero—into the iconic Voodoo Ranger's ensemble. The sugar skull, a nod to El Dia de los Muertos, infuses the label with cultural vibrancy and pays homage to the theme.

Set against a desert backdrop, the visual narrative becomes a tribute to the sacrifices made by my parents and countless immigrants. The label transcends mere design; it tells a story of resilience, cultural richness, and the shared journey toward a brighter future. This brew not only tantalizes the taste buds but also sparks meaningful conversations and connections. Cheers!
